Shortcut Keys

Use the following shortcut keys to perform common tasks in the ENPS Client.

You can create your own keyboard shortcuts by creating Macros. You can also use Ribbon Keytips to access functionality on ribbons.

Global

Ctrl 1	Open the most recent message from the Alert Bar.
Ctrl 2	Open the most recent urgent wire from the Alert Bar.
Ctrl 3	Toggle the New Messages panel on the left side of the screen open or closed.
Ctrl 4	Toggle the Wire Alerts side panel on the left side of the screen open or closed.
Ctrl Q or Alt F4	Close the ENPS Client.
Ctrl P	Print the current item.
Ctrl R	Display Today's Rundowns in your Home Folder.
Ctrl T	Send a message to another user.
Ctrl Tab * Ctrl Shift Tab *	Switch between objects in the same window.
Ctrl W	Open the Wire Viewer in a floating window.
Ctrl Shift B	Move the cursor to the text box to enter search terms.
Ctrl Shift C *	Close the current item.
Ctrl Shift M	Launch Dashboard.
Ctrl Shift R	Opens a Reply window when you are in a Message.
Ctrl Shift W	Open the Search Ribbon.
Ctrl Shift X *	Close all items in the current window.
Ctrl Shift Z	Open the Calendar
Ctrl Shift J	Open the Personal Folder
Ctrl Shift H	Open the Home Folder
Ctrl M	Open the Messages Folder
Ctrl Shift Q	Open the Contacts (Personal contacts as it is by default)
Ctrl Shift K	Open the Enterprise Browser
Ctrl Shift V	Pin a floating container
Ctrl Tab	Navigate between tabs in a host
Ctrl Shift L	Focus the first nav bar item
Esc	Same as clicking Cancel, if applicable.
F1	Open online help.
Home	Move to the top of a list. In Editing Windows, move to the top of the current item or to the beginning of the current line, depending on the type of content you are working on.
Page Up	Display the previous page in a list.
Page Down	Display the next page in a list.
Ctrl Page Up * Ctrl Page Down *	Switch between visible windows.
Ctrl Page Up Ctrl Page Down	Navigate between hosts

* Only works with content that is pinned back in the ENPS Client. These shortcuts will not work in floating or detached windows.

Folders

Ctrl Left-click

Select non-consecutive items from a list.

Shift Left-click

Select a list of consecutive items from a list.

Select the first item, hold down the Shift key, and select the last item. All of the items between will also be selected.

Search

Ctrl Shift B	Move the cursor to the text box to enter search terms.
Ctrl Shift C	Toggle whether the ENPS Client will search local content.
Ctrl Shift W	Toggle Search Bar wire search.

Stories

Ctrl Shift Del	Delete highlighted text or commands.
Ctrl ;	Insert the current time and date.
Ctrl A	Select all the text in the Story.
Ctrl B	Apply boldface.
Ctrl C	Copy the selected text to the clipboard.
Ctrl D	Insert the Duration command.
Ctrl G	Open a list of CG templates.
Ctrl H	Insert the Notes command.
Ctrl i	Apply italics.
Ctrl J	Insert an INSERT command.
Ctrl K	Insert a TAKE command.
Ctrl L	Insert an ANCHOR command.
Ctrl N	Start a new Story for your Personal Folder for in the top or left Story window.
Ctrl S	Save the current Story.
Ctrl U	Select underline formatting.
Ctrl V	Paste the text from the clipboard.
Ctrl X	Move the selected text to the clipboard.
Ctrl Y	Redo the last action.
Ctrl Z	Undo the last action.
Shift Del	Cuts highlighted text to move it to the system clipboard.
Shift Insert	Paste text from the system clipboard.
Ctrl Shift ;	Insert the current time.
Ctrl Shift G	Execute a search using the currently highlighted text.
Ctrl Shift i	Insert a TECH command.
Ctrl Shift N	Start a new Story for your Personal Folder for in the bottom or right Story window.
Ctrl Shift P	Toggle between a Story and its properties.
Ctrl Shift T	Send the current Story to another user. This can also be done by dragging the Story slug to the Message Center icon.
Ctrl Shift U	Run the spell checker.

Production Command Windows

Storyboards

Ctrl i

Add a new Story to the Stories pane.

Rundowns and Planning Grids

Backspace	Edit the contents of a field.
Ctrl A	Move highlighted line above the cursor.
Ctrl B	Highlight the current row.
Ctrl Z	Undo previous row highlight.
Ctrl C	Copy a highlighted row. You can highlight non-consecutive items from a list by pressing Ctrl and clicking on the rows, or consecutive rows by pressing Shift and clicking the first row followed by the last row you want to highlight. You can also use the Ctrl + B shortcut to highlight the current row.
Ctrl F	Opens the Find field above a Rundown. When pressed again, the find function is turned off.
Ctrl i	Insert a new row above the one that is currently selected.
Ctrl Shift i	Insert a new segment below the row that is currently selected.
Ctrl O	Open the selected item for editing.
Ctrl V	Paste a row.
Ctrl Shift D	Delete the selected row. Use with caution.
Enter	Save a field after you have modified it.
Esc	Abandon changes to a field.
Space or X	Toggle a selected checkbox field such as an Approval column.

Rundowns - On-Air Timing Bar

Ctrl Shift Space	Turn off the timing bar and reset it to the top of a show.
Ctrl Space	Move the timing bar to the cursor position.
Space	Move the timing bar forward.
Shift Space	Move the timing bar backward.

Character Generators

These only work with built-in ENPS CG Templates. They do not work with graphics added via ActiveX or HTML5 media plugins.

+	Send the next graphic in the list from ENPS to the device.
-	Send the previous graphic in the list from ENPS to the device.
