This generates text flow across the full width of the Editing Window. Select Undo to restore original formatting for a selected item. Selecting this option may make it difficult to read Stories with tabular data such as stock data or sports statistics. |

Set the default Rundown view to be horizontal across the top half of the screen. It is recommended that you enable this option so that you can view more columns on your screen at one time. |
Rundown View Options |
Select the view that you want to use when you open Rundowns and Planning Grids. By default, they will open with the template layout but you can change this setting so that they will open with your personal view. It is recommended that you leave this setting at its default value until you are familiar enough with the ENPS Client to create your own Rundown Layout. |
Language
Language
Language For Menus |
Select the language you want to use for the menus in the ENPS Client. This option controls the ENPS interface only. |
Preloaded spell-check dictionaries |
A dictionary must be selected in order for spell check in Stories to work. In this list you can select which dictionaries the ENPS Client should pre-load when you open the client. For performance reasons, it is recommended that you limit this to the two or three languages that you use most often. Your workstation's locale is set in the Region and Language settings in the Windows Control Panel. When you add text to a Story, either by typing it or copying and pasting it from an external source, the text will be marked with your workstation's locale, regardless of which language you enter in the Story Editor. Text entered while the locale is set to English will be checked against the English dictionary, text entered while the workstation is set to French will be checked against the French dictionary, and so on, regardless of which languages are pre-loaded. If you need to spellcheck for more than one language, you can do so by clicking on the Spellcheck button in the Story ribbon or Planning Item ribbon, and selecting the desired languages from the drop-down menu. |
Planning
Planning
Display Date Picker for Event Start and Event End |
If selected, you will see the entire date and time displayed within planning grid Event Start and Event End columns, making it easy to modify those values. |
Include Breaks |
If deselected, “break” rows are no longer displayed in the calendar. |
Notifications
Alert Options
Play alert sounds when messages arrive |
Sound an alert when messages are received. |
Play alert sounds when priority news arrives |
With this setting, the ENPS Client sounds an alert when urgent wire items or Forward Search items enter the system. For more information about Forward Searches, see Forward Search Settings. |
Suppress wire urgents |
This setting should be used with caution, as it will override all urgent wires in the Top Line Area. However, it will still allow urgent wire notifications for those stories which match Forward Search criteria. This is useful at sites where users only want to receive notifications regarding custom categories. |
Show notification card when notifications arrive |
Displays the notification card when a notification is received. |
