Daily Checks
Perform these routine maintenance checks every day.

Processes |
Make sure NOM Watcher and the other ENPS server processes are running. |
|
|
Time |
Verify that the time on the server is correct. |
|
|
MOS queue |
Open the News Object Manager (NOM) and select Window > MOS. Check there are no MOS messages in the outbound queue that are not moving to the MOS device. |
|
|
Buddy queue |
Check the Buddy process is working correctly by checking that the Buddy Process queue in NOM Buddy Maintenance on the ENPS Primary Server is not filling up. |

|
Logs |
Check the Application and System Event View logs for errors or warnings. Please contact AP ENPS Support to assist in diagnosing any errors or warnings you find concerning. |

|
SolrService |
Open the Services Console and confirm that the SOLRService is running. |
|
|
Solr Portal |
Confirm that you can open the Solr Admin Portal from the short cut on the desktop of the server. Run a sample query and confirm that data is returned. |
|
RAID | Check the RAID array management software for errors or warnings. |
|
|
Defragment | Run Disk Defragmentation on the disk. You can configure the operating system to defragment volumes daily. |
