Windows Updates

Set Windows to automatically download updates, but notify you rather than installing them:

1. Open the Windows Start Menu .

2. Type sconfig and press Enter.

   This will open the Server Configuration tool in a command prompt.

3. Enter 5 to access Windows Update Settings.

4. Enter 2 to select Download only.

   This option may be D rather than 2 on some operating systems.

5. Close the command prompt window when done.
