Rundown Character Restrictions
In ENPS
The following characters cannot be used in the Story Slug and Segment columns:
|
\ |
Back slash |
|
/ |
Forward slash |
|
* |
Asterix |
|
" |
Quotation Mark |
|
< |
Less than |
|
> |
Greater than |
|
| |
Pipe |
If any of these characters are used in the Story Slug or Segment, they will be changed to spaces to prevent an error from occurring. Note that these are the same characters that cannot be used in filenames.
The reason we say “Story Slug and Segment” is due to how ENPS sees the columns (ex: “Story Slug - Segment”) when the file is saved. It is for that reason that the first “-“ used in a Story Slug forces the “-“ to disappear and everything after the first “-“ into the Segment column.
Your system may use a different separator character than a hyphen, set by a System Administrator. For example, "Story Slug ; Segment".
