Election Views

When an election document is open, each user can customize the view of that election.

Set View

In the Format section of the Setup ribbon, select the Cell Format button.

Once the dialog box appears, you will have the option to set view preferences for "normal" and "sequence" view.

On the left there is a list of fields that can be shown in the normal election view, along with a preview in the area marked Cell Dimensions (you can adjust the width of the cells by clicking and dragging the right border of the cell). Although you may set these preferences in any way you prefer, generally the normal view will be used to focus on race results, and the sequence view will be used to easily view which races have been updated and sent to the CG.

To set sequence view preferences, click on Sequence view. Note that Candidate Fields are not available for display in the Sequence view. In addition, for the normal view, you may choose the number of fields you want to see in the display.

See the following subsections for typical configurations.

Customize the Race Status

Information such as the color coding that is used to identify new results or the election views can be customized. For example, you can change the default green that signifies that a race winner has been identified:

You can select the colors that will be displayed as status indicators by selecting the Status Options button from the Setup ribbon.

You can also set refresh options to alert you of new results, a new leader, or the fact that a winner has been identified.

You can also set the refresh properties for these colors. They can either refresh when a race is sent to the CG, or at a predetermined time. Checking neither of these options will not refresh the colors. You can manually refresh the status colors by selecting the Reset Changed Status button in the Setup ribbon.

The Winner status color will ignore these settings, as it is assumed that once the winner is set, that should continue to be displayed. However, if you do not want to see a winner color, set the Winner status color to white.
